Whats more affective, hand sanitizer or soap?

I just need you'r opinion or if you want you can actully try to do this project.Whats more affective, hand sanitizer or soap?
Wait a minute, what do you mean by ';effective?'; Do you mean as effecitve cleaner or as effective sanitizer?

Soap is the more effective cleaner (removing dirt %26amp; grease)

Sanitizer is a generic term for a particular chemical contained in the soap which does the killing of bacteria.

Soap is a poor sanitizer, that is why the combination of the two are more effective at doing a total job rather then the use of either one.

There are hand sanitizers which have no soap in them and are to be used AFTER you use a commercial soap.Whats more affective, hand sanitizer or soap?
hand sanitizer seems to be the better choice
hand sanitizer because alcohol kills 99.9 percent of germs
Actually the only effective way is warm soap water and the hand sanitizer together. I have been working in the health care field for 6 years and have went through many tests and classes on the difference between the two. The method that got rid of the most germs was the soap water and hand sanitizer method. Although both are effective, hand sanitizer really only works if you use alot of friction which most people forget to do and hand sanitizer is meant to be used as a temporary solution. You should wash your hands after you use the sanitizer 4-5 times, and remember when washing your hands use a lot of friction also and sing the classic ABC song!
Sanitizer get rid of 99.99% of germs, I don't think soap does...

Sanitizer works better!
soap
They SAY it gets rid of 99% of bacteria, seems strange, I mean, if they can get it so close, why can't it be 100%? Scrubbing and washing your hands with hot/warm water just seems more hygenic than covering them with greasy liquid.
I am pretty sure hand sanitizer is more affective then soap. Soap does not get rid of all of the germs, but hand sanitizer gets rid of 99% of germs.
Hand sanitizers reflect advanced cleaning with effective surfactants and proven added components to kill germs and viruses. There are sanitizers that are ';green'; and therefore they are easy on the environment.
