Spilled a large container of green hand soap on carpet?

I keep trying to mop it up with paper towels, but it seems to get worse. I'm afraid to put water on it and rub in case it gets too sudsy.

Any suggestions on how to get it all up? Thanks so much!Spilled a large container of green hand soap on carpet?
The acid in vinegar is too mild to harm fabrics including carpet but strong enough to dissolve the alkalies in soaps and detergents. So try using white vinegar and then use a shop vac (vacuum) to pull the liquid out. (Do NOT use apple cider vinegar as it may stain the carpet.)Spilled a large container of green hand soap on carpet?
Shop vac. And carpet cleaner.
You may consider renting a carpet cleaner for a few hours to extract it all, by just keep going over it, again and again till it's all out. I know some grocery stores rent them in front by the customer service desk. ;-)
