Cetaphil..my niece has it...and any equate moisturizer from wal-martCan someone recommend a good hand soap for my 5 yr old son with eczema...thanks?
CETAPHIL AND AVEENO ARE GREAT LIKE THE OTHERS SAID,BUT THEY ARE EXPENSIVE.TRY IVORY.IT IS DYE FREE AND IT WILL BE FINE FOR HIS SKIN!:)Can someone recommend a good hand soap for my 5 yr old son with eczema...thanks?
Cetaphil is the best bar soap for dry skin. If you are looking for a liquid, Aveeno Baby has soaps and lotions that I think work better for kids.
when I had eczema when I was younger the specialist said to use Dove or Ivory only.

My neighbor has a baby with awful horrid eczema all over his body. She saw a specialist and he said that for her baby she can only use the Sunlight sensitive skin laundry degerent.
ANY SOAP THAT'S FREE FROM DYES/PERFUMES.
dove is a sensitive type of soap and it is kind to skin
OATMEAL SOAP FROM AVEENO...
Hii... Im 14. I have severe ezcema and i have been using this excellent remedy called Repcillin. You definetly have to give it a go. Its really good. It comes in creams and soaps to. It may be a little over-priced for what it is but trust me...It is definetley worth the money. I will give you a website directing you to where you order it. :)

Hope this helps...It worked for me and after 14 years of having ezcema i finally saw the slightest improvement in under a week!. :)

( i have the cream and soap)
I wasn't so much going to suggest a soap...as to tell you to follow up with vanicream after he washes. I have psoriasis...and need all the moisture I can get!!!
My son also has eczema and at first i was using alveno but after awhile it stop working so my doctor gave me a prescription and some cream and it works great u just have to use it everyday and you can put it all over him, but yea get it from your doc

Good Luck :)
Cetaphil.
Nothing with any perfumes or dyes. I use either Ivory or unscented Dove. Both are very mild and inexpensive. Aveeno is nice, but you'd be paying a lot more for nothing special. I had severe eczema and now my 3 year old has it. We both use Dove or Ivory for soap and Eucerin cream after every bath/shower.
yea, cetaphil is great or aveeno.
Softsoap moisturizing hand soap.
Aveeno is great. My son also has severe eczema and is five. We just bought him some Johnson's Vanilla Oatmeal baby wash and he is doing good with it.
Cetaphil also is copied by Walgreen's as Skin Cleanser in the same section.

Suggestions:

A. Bathe less frequent, if spreads beyond hands.

B. Use moisturizer. Perhaps, Suave Skin Therapy Aloe with Cucumber. Don't worry about the name. Can get at Target or anywhere.

C. A generic by Rx: Fluocinonide. Cream is preferable. I have used since 1956, yet all of the above has pretty much negated need for C. Absolutely, the only lifesaver when needed. Has been fully contained since first use---immediately. Use moderately %26amp; sparingly, only as needed.

Good Luck.
