Is it okay to use hand soap to wash your face?

Usually after washing my hands, I also use the same soap but not a soap bar, you know the pump kind that excretes the liquidish form...to wash my face to make my face smell good usually after smoking a cigarette.





I know the worst it can possibly do is dry up my skin but anything else is helpful.

No, please do not use hand soap on your face. It is much too harsh for that and dry it out and the dryness can cause wrinkles and actuallly oiliness if your face produces more oil to compensate. Fragrances in face soap are not necessarily good either and can cause sensitivity. You need to buy a very gently face wash (not acne wash). Actually I think the best for you to buy would be Johnson's and Johnson's head to toe baby wash. It is the exact same formula as Johnson's purpose face wash. It even has the same scent, which doesn't smell like baby. it is just nice and fresh. It is much more gentle and it sound like you probably wash your face often if you do it each time you smoke.You may still need a moisturizer to counteract the dryness of washing.Is it okay to use hand soap to wash your face?
You're worried about the harmfulness of hand soap on your face and you smoke cigarettes? That makes no sense. Stop smoking please. Its a nasty habit. At any rate... Hand soap is not meant to be used on your face. It is too harsh. Get a facial soap.

Regular soap can dry out your skin, especially if you use an anti-bacterial. It's better to use a face wash, but not an acne face wash.
I have dealt with skin problems for a long time and I know for a fact that those hand wash things are bad for your face. they dry out your face and are not meant for the sensitivity of your face a lot of them are anti bacterial. why dont u just wash your face with a face cleanser?
Yes it will clean your face and kill the bacteria, but I would reccomend a regular neutragena face wash. Soap might chap your face.
